On Your 8th

To our Awesome
HARIELL

Happiness found me the very first day I set eyes on you.
From that moment, becoming a mother felt blessedly brand new.
You’re too fragile to hold at that time yet you took away all of our blues.
You brought colors into our lives, and all of our wishes come true.

As you slowly grow up, I had seen the best parts of me.
The part of me that has unspoken courage as I should be
A part of me that became so hardworking and felt so carefree.
A part of me gets excited to share another morning where all of us could see.

Reminiscing all the passing years since you brought colors to our home.
We are enthralled to watch all of your learning steps and how you’ve grown.
And as your parents, we want to make sure we provide you the best safe zones.
And in every journey you take, you’ll be reminded that you don’t face struggles all alone.

It still felt like yesterday, how you were once a baby I cradle on my arms.
Now you turned eight and all you brought to us were your kindness and charm.
On our troubled days, you became the light and calm.
We are thankful to have you and with us, you’ll stay safe and unharmed.

Everything that you do, made us truly happy.
The way you make people laugh and merry
All the jokes and wit at your age made us all eager and ready.
You brought sunshine in this home where love and joy remained steady.

Love will never run insufficient and you’ll grow up free for it to express.
We will watch every ladder you climb, each failure, and progress.
We will be here to cheer the loudest for the anticipated success.
When it comes to love, we will make sure you’ll never get less.

Let’s take every year slow, and we will stand guard over your dreams.
We will have the heart to listen and help you build your self-esteem.
We will remain as someone whom you could trust and will give you what you need.
We love you our little sunshine, you and Zeo are the best gifts that we ever received.

Dear Kingkong

You came back into my life during the time when I had given up on love but then, love’s too wondrous and too unpredictable —it arrived in such a moment that would eventually change everything about me forever. You have no idea how thankful I am for that very moment, that I got the chance to be loved again by you. I am truly blessed knowing that not everyone gets the ideal relationship that sticks with them through thick and thin, and here you are, constantly reminding me that you’ll be the loudest cheer during my best days and also the one who stays longer to comfort me during my worst times. You show me love and support that’s real and it’s because of that I am able to relish my courage and forget about my doubts.

All my prayers were answered for it felt like my topsy-turvy world finally found the right place to settle down and just enjoy how love will bring into order all of my messy perceptions about life. I feel so complete knowing I am loved by you. You reminded me about my purpose and you never made me question my own worth. You give me more than what I ask for because making us happy, turns out to be your own happiness too.

I know we aren’t perfect. You have your issues. I have my issues. You have your storms. I have my rains. Sometimes, we feel like all our pieces fit perfectly together. Sometimes, we sound like contrasting shapes. We have some misunderstandings, just like everyone else. Some happens consecutively and sometimes, we feel like we could go for months not bringing any nonsensical issues at the top of the table. We both grow mature together to the point that I learn so much about myself by the way you love and take care of me.

I love you so much and I know I am not really the one who initiates affection because both of us have learned to face life’s reality and busy schedules. But I know you love me the same for you unravel the things that would lit up a fight. You  inspire me to be better despite knowing we both have off-moments but that’s completely understandable because both of us are working together to make sure our kids have secured future. I always find myself smiling at how I found someone who has the same goals as me, someone who works on what he promises.

And we still have more roller coaster ventures that we will take together and I am more than willing to wait to unfold each memory-waiting-to-happen with you. I hope every day, life and love will continuously draw us closer to each other. I hope we’ll find an opportunity through it to strengthen our relationship. We’ve seen the darkest nights and witnessed the best sunrises. And it’s all worth being with you.

TLC

Bleeeh 😝

Touch of love, ma.
Nakatulog sya sa masahe ko 😍

I love you, ma.😘

Today is My 16th

It's not so easy to be different from the people who seem to be all the same. I do not usually explain why I am odd and peculiar but I guess, people will always wonder why, from their sight, I am an unfamiliar being: my looks, my views, and, generally, my belief and my faith.

I have always been like this since sixteen years ago - I chanced on knowing God's Words. And it sounds weird to this modern world, when people ask me why I am like this, I answer, "Kasi dito ako naliwanagan."

I tried walking away when my mind was giving up but God is so kind that He blessed  me with so many second chances.

I always say that I am unworthy. Even now. Or should I say, especially now. I am unworthy of His goodness. But I am grateful that, I feel, He still wants me here.

Today is my 16th year in the Church. I might not be as fervent as I was when I first knew Him but even if myself is divided to many obligations now, I feel that my faith in God will not be shaken; as if it is rooted in the deepest part of me and can never be taken away by anyone else. I know it is because of His endless mercy and love and faith, as well.

I do not want to excuse or justify myself why I am like this. I suppose it will always sound unusual to them but I pray that they, too, will understand one day why I am choosing this life; The life with God. The life with God's protection and mercy and love.

Life with Him is hopeful. With Him, I am protected and not lost. Endless security I cannot enumerate all. I am just so thankful for today and for the first day He took me in.

Glory to God and to Christ Jesus for everything that I am and I have. Thankful for everything I am not and do not have. Happy 16th to me. TGBTG!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 4th wedding anniversary. Thanks be to God for another year down to our lifetime of counting of togetherness.

Though we don't date a lot anymore (and if we do, we have to bring the kids to date with us), our boyfriend-girlfriend moments will always be kept in my memory treasure chest :) Though our priorities have changed, I am just so relieved that I get to pass through all these changes and adjustments with my husband. I still keep the faith that He gave me Happy because noone else is like him that could keep up with me and accept all of me.

Then and again I get to ask him if he ever regret marrying me. I hope 10, 20, 30, 40 years from now or until that time God wills us to still have each other, I would still hear him say "no" - the sweetest no I could ever take as an answer, perhaps.

It's not always rainbows and butterflies but that's marriage and that's us. And for me, just to have my husband as my best friend and lifelong partner is more than enough.

Thanks be to God for this wonderful present that I will open everyday.

IKAW by Yeng Constantino

Ikaw
Ang pag-ibig na hinintay
Puso ay nalumbay ng kay tagal
Ngunit ngayo'y nandito na..
Ikaw, ikaw
Ang pag-ibig na binigay
Sa akin ng Maykapal
Biyaya ka sa buhay ko
Ligaya't pag-ibig ko'y ikaw..

October 20 Baby

Here is our second baby boy, Zeo. Normal delivery by a private OB in a humble maternity clinic near our home. He was a big little Zeo at 3.5 kilos when he got out of me, cord coiled and turned bluish black because of the strangling. But thank God for each perfect moment of my last hardest push, the perfect moment when they catched the baby, the perfect moment when the doctor cut the cord around the baby's neck, and all other perfect moments I can't remember anymore.

Now, on his 2nd week here on the outside world (outside the womb, that is), he drinks lotsa lotsa milk from the cow (formula), and some power breastmilk from human (me).

I am happier compared to my 1st born. I had post partum depression last time I gave birth but this time, I seem to be more prepared and readier to face the mother duties and challenges.

Basta, all great thanks to God.

Meet Zeo Xeven MT, the new gangster in town :)

I love you, Kid! - Nanay

From The Clingy Wife

I confess....
I am too much to handle.
Thank God, He gave me Happy.
I can never ask for more.
I just wanna say I am sorry if I am not taking care of this precious gift the way I should. But I love him the way I know how to love.
This is for him :)

To My Somebody

++

I dedicate this song to my husband who has always been that "somebody" who shares my everything with him. In good times and not so good times.

Not everyone could understand his uniqueness but I love every single of him. His imperfections and his strengths, everything that makes his whole person makes me love and appreciate him everyday.

We may sometime disagree about some things that I believe and the way he sees things but it just makes us appreciate each other even more. And i am just thankful that he is the one that I am spending the rest of my life with, God willing.

I am on my 4th month of carrying our second child and I feel his support and caring about my condition. He never gives up on understanding my nonsense and ridiculous behavior. It just makes me admire him more.

I want to shout out how lucky I am to have him as a husband and as a father of my kids but words are not enough to describe how I am feeling.

Maybe I would just let him listen to this song later. I love him very much :)

family day

i was not able to go to work because of this rain that never stopped since last night. Happy also didnt make it to his work... almost no bus going to manila and water level is getting higher and higher. on the news, metro manila is already suffering from heavy flood and lots of people/families are evacuating from their houses to be safe. that said, i know it will sound selfish but i am happy and thankful because i am spending today with my husband and my adorable son. although what i meant in spending is "sleeping" , oh you bet i can never be happier today than this :)

Counting the Days

time really flies.

it was on april 8 when my mom came home to take care of me. i was 8months pregnant then. full of sweet and scary expectations, she made it easier for me to get through the last part of my prego journey.

and when i gave birth to Hariell, she's still the same old stage mother who i knew back then. she supported me all the way: emotionally physically and financially...

although we never had a chance to live with each other for a long time because she had to work overseas since i was young and later on have to move to japan permanently, in our case, mother and daughter ties can never be broken. though we fought a couple of times (and more), though we raised our voices against each other a time or two, though it seemed that we lost all the patience and quit, at the end of the day we still managed to come back and share the silliness only the two of us could understand

as tears are forming in my eyes now while blogging here in an overloaded bus going home, i would always remember how she took care of my family during the times i needed help the most. she is heaven sent. she is a proof that God's plan is always the best and always at the rightest time. i will always tell my son that his grandma looked after him when nanay was still bobo taking care of him. grandma bathed him
grandma washed his clothes. grandma bought milk and diapers and baby clothes and baby things when nanay and tatay was broke. grandma loves him since day 1 and until now. grandma is super grandma. and when the time comes that my son already knows how to talk, God willing, i will teach him how to say "i love you grandma. thank you for taking care of me. ingat ka po palagi and i cant wait to hug and kiss you po".

i wish i had been kinder to her but i am just as maldita as she is. mana lang talaga ako sa kanya. but i love her so much for everything she has done and will do for me. i can never pay back her motherness that is why i always ask God to take care of her.

gomen ne mommy. ganito lang ako. thank you for everything and my family will always pray for your safety. thank you and i love you so much in good times and in not so good times.

salamat sa Dios for giving you to me.

Hi, Stranger!

It's been a while (again) from I remember of religiously blogging out things about my everydays. Well, things have changed in my life since I got married. Been busy taking care of my husband and his needs. My role now as a wife is pretty much challenging. Considering that I was the one who was always looked after... You guess, how's everything's been doing lately. <insert Black Eyed Peas - Where is the Love? here> #lol

But, seriously, I am fine. I got a job again that makes me productive. I got a very loving husband who makes me feel blessed everyday from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep at night.  My friends are still hanging around with me which makes me happy, too. My Mom who has been ever supportive still got my back. I can feel that God still looks after me :) I pretty much have almost everything I want. Except that I don't have too much money in my pocket now but I think it teaches me to appreciate things I have and teaches me to value money more.

I just want to be happy everyday and leave all the troubles behind. I am loving life everyday. I feel so lucky having Happy (my husband) with me. I always thank God for this :)

...

And also, we are expecting to meet our little bundle of joy soon, God willing :)

Can I be happier than this? :)

Thank God for everything :)

Ae and I

I miss her very very very much :(
We've been friends since 1998 and she never stopped on being a good one to me. She'd seen my worst but still loves me for who I am. She loves me more on my best and I love her too for that :) It's been some years now since we've been quite far from each other because she still works overseas. But we still talk once in a while.
Friend, I hope to see you soon again. Nothing changed. You are still the best friend I knew from the start :)
I miss miss miss miss you :*

One Problem Solved!

Thank God, I'm finally okay! :)
Some boo-boo clinic should not be trusted with their boo-boo findings. Good thing there are still some few good doctors out there who could bring in some good news :)
One problem, finally solved! Next please! :)
